Why it belongs

Chosen for thymoquinone.

Black cumin seeds beside a drop of golden Nigella oil.

Thymoquinone is one of Nigella’s best-studied active compounds. Laboratory research has reported antibacterial activity and reactions with certain sulphur odour compounds. That is why Nigella belongs in MARL deodorant.

Its story

Pressed from Nigella sativa seeds, also known as black cumin, Nigella oil has a long history in traditional care. It entered MARL through the balm our mum made for our sister.
